EBI’s CSR activities evolved throughout the years focusing on financial literacy and supporting people with special needs.
SHAPING THE FUTURE INITIATIVE
Shaping the Future Initiative was launched in 2012, under the auspices of the Central Bank of Egypt, to spread financial awareness and enhance people’s capability to manage their finances, understand and use different financial services and thereby contribute to financial inclusion.
In 2022 EBI launched its Financial Literacy Hub, a go-to source for various educational content for Youth, Adults, Children Entrepreneurs and Financial Services Providers.
BASIRA INITIATIVE
Launched in 2020, Basira Initiative aims to support visually impaired students by converting their study materials from their printed format to a readable or audio format to facilitate their studying process.

ETAHA INITIATIVE
With an aim to support creating a diversified working environment and act as a link between people with special needs searching for job opportunities and the banking sector, EBI launched Etaha initiative. Applicants register their data & experiences profile on the initiative’s online platform and after passing a series of assessments and an online training program to enhance their career growth skills their data is shared with the human resources departments in the Egyptian banking sector for potential employment opportunities.
